What's Going On This Week?
This upcoming week is packed with shows that are sure to make you laugh, music to make you dance and much, much more. This weekend, The Telluride Comedy Fest returns for its 18th annual festival at the Sheridan Opera House, so be sure to check out one of the four nights of world-class comedy in a historic and intimate venue. On Saturday, Dwight Yoakam is live in concert for the first time at Club Red, so head there to see the 21-time nominated, multiple Grammy Award winner. Also happening on Saturday is the Historical Snowshoe Tour: Foods from the Woods. Strap on a pair of snowshoe’s and sample some of the foods and beverages the Native Americans, early settlers and explorers depended on to live in Southwest Colorado. Finally, if you’re looking to get your dance on, you’re in luck because the Infamous Stringdusters are returning to the Sheridan Opera house on Wednesday for a two-night show. 18th Annual Telluride Comedy Festival: The Telluride Comedy Fest returns for its 18th annual festival at the Sheridan Opera House over Presidents Day Weekend. This year's lineup features Ed Helms, Nick Kroll, Jason Mantzoukas, Seth Morris, Thomas Middleditch, Chris Garcia, Alice Wetterlund, Pam Murphy, Matt Newell, Bjorn Gustaffsson & Will Hines.
Dwight Yoakam Live at Club Red: Dwight Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and he is a 21-time nominated, multiple GRAMMY Award winner. He has 12 gold albums and 9 platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard’s Country Albums chart, and another 14 landing in the Top 10. Nearly 40 of Yoakam's singles have charted, with 14 peaking in the Top 10. This will be his first time performing in the Telluride region. Doors: 7:30 pm Show: 8:00 pm All ages Price: $55
