What's Going On This Week?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING (1)

Thanksgiving is here and what better way to start off the holiday than with the San Miguel Annual Turkey Trot? This 5k run/walk is a holiday tradition that is great for the whole family. Costumes are encouraged and dogs on a leash are welcome! Starting on Thursday and lasting through Sunday, Telluride Ski Resort will offer a range of activities for visitors to enjoy during its “Thanksgiving Snow Jam.” From holiday movies to free rail jams and an abundance of kids’ activities, there will be plenty to do over the long holiday weekend. On Tuesday, gather the family and head to the Palm Theater for a Palm Kidz Performance. This Ann Lincoln show contains contemporary standup comedy, expert juggling and circus skills, magic involving birds and more! Last but not least, it is the giving season so don’t forget to swing by Angel Basket’s headquarters and pick up a gift request for a child or elder. Another great way to give back is to volunteer with Angel Basket’s to help wrap gifts! Check out more on each event below, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Annual Turkey Trot:  The San Miguel Annual Turkey Trot is back. This 5k run/walk is a holiday tradition for the whole family. Registration is at 9AM and the race start is 9:30AM. There is free admission, prizes and turkey raffle. Costumes are encouraged and dogs on a leash are welcome.

Thanksgiving Snow Jam: With Opening Day delayed, Telluride Ski Resort will offer a range of activities for visitors to enjoy during its “Thanksgiving Snow Jam.” This year, during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend guests will find a variety of activities available in Mountain Village including sledding and a rail park at the base of Chair 4. Both activities are free to the public, Thursday – Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Palm Kidz Performance: Ann’s unique act engages all of the senses. The audience smells the fire being eaten, feels the weight of bowling balls being juggled, and hears the coo of her magical dove. They also talk about the show they’ve just seen for weeks to come.

Angel Baskets’ Holiday Giving Program: Pick up a gift request for a child or elder, and/or volunteer to wrap gifts at Angel Baskets’ headquarters located at 124 E. Colorado Ave.

For all events from 11/23-11/30, check out this week’s Peak Sheet.
