What's Going On This Week?
With the most recent storm leaving us with 3 ½ feet of fresh powder, excitement is at an all-time high here in Telluride, and lucky for us there are tons of events to keep us busy! Have you ever seen synchronized skiing? The Ghostriders Ski Team practices their routine every Friday down Misty Maiden at 4pm. Check them out this Friday for their last practice before the National Synchro Ski Championships which begin on February 3. On Saturday, head to the mountain to watch College Alpine Skiers compete on Milk Run, the most difficult venue in the West. If you’re looking to get out of the cold for a bit, head to Michael D. Palm Theatre on Sunday for the Met Opera: Nabucca. On Tuesday, take advantage of Telluride’s beautiful, dark night skies and check out Stargazing with Mishke at San Sophia Overlook (top of the Gondola). Check out more on each event below!
Ghostriders Ski Team: Have you seen synchronized skiing? Six to eight skiers perform elaborate maneuvers requiring split-second precision. The Ghostriders Ski Team practices their routine every Friday down Misty Maiden into Mountain Village at 4:00 pm.

Met Opera: Nabucca: The legendary Plácido Domingo brings another new baritone role to the Met under the baton of his longtime collaborator James Levine. Liudmyla Monastyrska is Abigaille, the warrior woman determined to rule empires, and Jamie Barton is the heroic Fenena. Dmitri Belosselskiy is the stentorian voice of the oppressed Hebrew people.

Stargazing w/ Mishke: Join Pinhead Institute, A Smithsonian Affiliate, and the Wilkinson Public Library while we take advantage of Telluride's dark night skies. Dress warmly. Weather permitting.
