Telluride in Film

Outside TVlogo

Put the popcorn down and get back to your crunches, wall sits and lunges because these movies are sure to inspire adrenaline-packed activity. Long awaited winter has finally arrived, and so has Telluride on a screen near you:

The Edge of Telluride: Bring ski mountaineering to life with historic descents accomplished during the record breaking season of 2008 in spectacular Telluride, Colorado. The Edge of Telluride takes the audience inside the mind-set, challenges and ecstatic breakthroughs of ski mountaineering while capturing the pure essence of the spectacular San Juan Mountain in Southwest Colorado. The film leaves a deep impression of these beautiful haunting mountains and the athletes that have the nerve to climb and ski them. Watch the trailer now.

Wintervention: Telluride is a featured resort in Warren Miller’s latest film, which tells the story of the snow addicted. Watch the cast of big-name riders as they shred the world’s steepest and deepest powder, from Antarctica to Russia and back to Telluride’s San Juan Range. Watch the trailer. See Wintervention in a theater near you.

Outside Television:It’s hard to capture the energy and feel of Mountainfilm on television but the good people of Outside TV have done an awfully impressive job with the Outside Film Festival. The crew came to Telluride this past May and, for many of them, it was their first time at Mountainfilm. ...What we particularly like is that they are giving many very worthy films from the festival an opportunity to be seen by a larger audience.” –From MountainFilm.org.

Visit Outside Film Festival’s website for inspirational and exciting interviews and movie trailers. Outside Film Festival airs every night at Prime Time with Mountainfilm films shown four nights, Thursdays through Sundays.

We know how beautiful Telluride looks on the big screen but when was the last time you visited the Prettiest Town in the West? (Check out the article from Sunset magazine.)
