Allegiant Air 15 Days of Telluride: Day 2, Ice Skating and Sledding

IMG 6399 M

With Allegiant flying from Phoenix, AZ and Oakland, San Francisco, CA this winter, travelers might ask what they can look forward to enjoying during their visit to the Box Canyon. Look no further than our 15 days of Telluride, a daily description of what Allegiant travelers can do during their winter vacation. Day 2: Ice Skating and Sledding.

Yes, the skiing is amazing in Telluride but there are so many more things to do! Some great kids (and adult) activites to do are ice skating and sledding.

Ice Skating:

Whether you are spending your time in Telluride or Mountain Village, there are ice skating options for both towns. In Mountain Village visit Boot Doctor's outdoor rink right outside of Hotel Madeline (next to Neve Sports). Parents can enjoy the warmth of the outdoor fire places while they watch there little ones skate.

Hop down to Telluride Town Park for an indoor and outdoor skating experience. Telluride's outdoor rink can be found right next to the nordic skiing center and track and offers beautiful views of Telluride's natural surroudings. On colder days venture into the Hanley Pavillion indoor rink also located in Town Park.

Don't have your own skates? Don't worry. All facilities offer skate rentals.

Sledding:

Telluride Town Park has many winter offerings from ice skating to nordic skiing and sledding. Head on up to Firecracker Hill and sled into the park. Sleds can be rented from the Nordic Ski Association office located in the park.

Just two more reasons why you should visit Telluride this winter!
